JOB DESCRIPTION

Our highly skilled machinists are responsible for applying their knowledge of machine shop theory, procedures, and mathematics to set-up and operate CNC equipment.
Our ideal candidate has at least five years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment and is able to read blue prints, understand drawings, and determine best methods for setting up and machining a part.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, routing instructions, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
Properly select, align, and secure work holding. Must be able to improvise setups using common tooling such as risers, angle plates, etc.
Monitor and/or develop speed, feed, depth or angle of cut during machining operations.
Must observe machine operation to predict or detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining conditions, and adjust machine controls or control media as required.
Verify that all machined details are produced in a manner that meets print or router specifications, using precision measuring instruments. Request first piece inspection when producing multiple piece runs.
Monitor and maintain proper cleanliness of machine and work area on a daily basis.
YOU ALSO NEED
A minimum of four years of trade school, vocational education, or apprenticeship experience
Experience with different material types and machining processes
Great attendance and a positive attitude
The ability to multi-task and work under pressure
